Chia – whole seeds
Description: Chia seeds are derived from the Spanish sage (Salvia hispanica L.). The plant was originally cultivated by the Aztecs and accounted for them one of the three main sources of food, just after beans and corn. Chia seeds are useful in preparation of beverages and pastries (e.g. bread).
Usage: Can be used as an additive to various dishes like salads, soups, oatmeal, smoothies. It can be used as well as an addition to vegetables, groats, pancakes and bread. Do not exceed maximum daily intake of 15g. In case of bakery products – not more than 10% of the dough.
